Business continuity planning software for SMEs

Business continuity planning software for SMEs

Many SMEs have a task list that includes setting up their business continuity plans and disaster recovery arrangements to get their business back up and running after a disruption event. If that sounds like you, then it is probably what I would call an important but not urgent task for you. You know it is important, but winning new customers and keeping your existing customers happy is more urgent on a day-to-day basis.

This is a problem acknowledged in the new Continuity Insurance & Risk Magazine, Business Continuity Software Report 2016, which is a market leading analysis of the top 16 global suppliers of business continuity management software and which features Crises Control for the first time. The Report notes that there is much greater uptake amongst larger organisations than smaller ones for BC planning software. This can be because the solutions available haven’t met their needs.

SME’s generally don’t need the very complex, sophisticated solutions that are available for much larger enterprises, which is where most BC planning software has been pitched. They need something that matches their requirements, which is much more straightforward and is priced accordingly.

The CIR Magazine Report notes that the market for BC management software now generates global revenues of US$250 million, with almost 45% of businesses using such tools. A range of drivers support this market growth, including demands from regulators and those in companies’ supply chains. Software not only helps organisations put in place plans, but also enables them to provide evidence for regulatory reports and audits.

The Report notes that most solutions now have a greater offering than simply a more efficient, electronic version of a traditional BC plan. It uses Crises Control as an example of a solution that provides a crisis response app to deliver plans and notifications across devices, including smartphones, in the event of an incident.

If you are looking to procure business continuity planning software, then the CIR Report and Product Features Matrix is a great place to start and you can use it to quickly compare suppliers and functionality across the marketplace. This will demonstrate to you that Crises Control matches up very well to other suppliers in essential requirements, whilst being very easy-to-use and intuitive.

We would love to hear from you to discuss your particular needs and arrange a free demonstration of the product to show you just how easy it is to use.
